A Wasp

Turns out that with my transfer cable, I can't actually move RAW files onto my computer. Which is rough. I had to dig through the few JPGs I shot yesterday and pick the best one, which still isn't all that good.

Aperture: f/2.8
Shutter Speed: 1/320
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 100mm

It probably looks like some astounding close-up, but I cropped that shot majorly. The light is awful, although it's hard to be picky when photographing something like a wasp.

So, bottom line: I can't wait for my new card reader to get here.

  1. It's still way closer than I generally care to be to a wasp! Difficult subject - good shot of it!

  2. Love the wasp - nice and sharp! Can't say I would get that close either! It does look like it was taken with macro lens, nice job on the big crop!

Wonder why you can't move RAW files to your computer with the USB cable? Although I use the Canon utilities which works pretty well.

  3. My USB cable can move the RAW and JPEG files off of my Canon. I usually use Picassa to import them from my camera.

I think the coolest part of this photo is the wings of the wasp.
